Welcome to RiderMinus.com.

I am amputee motorcycle racer, Shane
Tacker. I lost my left leg above the knee in
2005 and returned to racing just 3 months
later. I've been president of the Arkansas
Hare Scramble Championship Series and
was voted as rider of the year by that racing
series for 2005. I continue to race as often
as I can and placed 3rd in my class in the
inaugural Amputee MotoX race at the 2007
Extremity Games-racing with a freshly torn
achille's tendon! In 2008, I placed 5th at the
event and was invited to race in the newly
formed MotoX Adaptive event at X Games
14, where I took 7th. In 2009, I returned to X
Games 15 and completed the event with a
freshly torn ACL and MCL in my only knee.

Along with my brother, Trav, I am  the long
standing promoter of Sturkie Road
Harescramble - AHSCS racing series' oldest
standing off road motorcycle race, now
celebrating our 15th year for the event.
Sturkie was awarded the prestigious
AHSCS Race of the Year award for 2009!

Currently I am resuming training for off road
competition with a new focus on staying
safe. My schedule for 2010 includes plans
of running all events on the AHSCS.com
racing schedule

So, take a look around. I hope you enjoy
what you find and, most importantly, if you
know of anyone who may be helped by
seeing what's here -  pass it on!
"No, man. You gotta keep goin'. What am I gonna do? Quit? That's
not an option. Life's a garden. Dig it? You make it work for you. You
never give up, man. That's my philosophy."  - Joe Dirt
